The Goodwill Theatre Arts Village
Based on the block between Corliss Avenue and Main Street and Willow
Street and Broad Street, we're working to renovate the Goodwill Theatre,
the Endicott Johnson Shoes Medical Building and the Municipal Building
to create an area where artists and musicians can live, work and play for
those of us who want to appreciate creativity.
Eventually, we'd like to expand our scope to include all of Downtown
Johnson City as the Goodwill Theatre Arts Village. So that all you have to
say when you want to know where creative fun can be found is - "It's in the
Village!"

- Broaden and deepen the public’s appreciation of the arts through
education, - Create a center for the arts where festivals, performances,
workshops, and educational seminars are conducted; - Develop and institute a youth-oriented educational program
encompassing all areas of the arts whereby youth and
professionals can work side by side in a creative environment. This
collaboration will promote a greater understanding of teamwork,
self-esteem, discipline, and communication; - Restore, maintain and develop the historic Goodwill Theater and its
surrounding community of Johnson City, New York; - In all endeavors, Goodwill Theatre, Inc. will create a challenging
professional environment for a multi-generational audience that
captivates, inspires, and illuminates while increasing
communication and understanding among diverse cultures and
generations.
